- This model is a continuum of CenteringPregnancy care and begins with baby’s arrival through the first two years of life.
- Eligible candidates must be 1.) an established patient of Community HealthNet Health Centers 2.) Newborn to 2 months of age

History
Community HealthNet (CHN) is a not-for-profit community based primary healthcare organization dedicated to providing accessible, affordable, and quality medical services. Community HealthNet strives to serve the needs of all families and individuals of all income levels in need of medical care.
In 2011 Community HealthNet received a grant from the March of Dimes of Indiana to implement a CenteringPregnancy™ Program. In response to the favorable outcomes of CenteringPregnancy, Community HealthNet, in 2018, received additional funding to implement CenteringParenting. Our kickoff was held in January 2020 followed by the first CenteringParenting group in February 2020.

CenteringParenting is a family oriented well-child group care that brings parents and their same-age babies together with their heath care provider to discuss similar growth and development experiences using the Centering model of care that includes health assessment, interactive learning and community building.
